The
reception will be held at the
Winchester Country Club
in Meadow Vista, CA. To see where this is located relative to
everything else, check out the wedding overview
page. As one of only seven courses co-designed by Robert Trent
Jones Sr. and Jr.,
Winchester Country Club is a rare combination of father and son,
sport and surroundings, challenge and beauty. Perhaps the best
testimony is the course's instant credibility. It is rated #13 out of
over 3,000 golf courses in California by Golf Digest 2001-2002. With
California being home to such legendary golf courses as Pebble Beach,
the Olympic Club, Poppy Hills and Torrey Pines, that's no small feat.
It's also one of the top three courses built in Northern California in
the last 35 years. We have spent a lot of time up at Winchester
over the past couple of years, as Carrie's parents got settled into
retirement. The golf course is magnificent, and the setting is
absolutely breathtaking. |
| The plan
is that dinner and dancing will follow the ceremony. We will
host a cocktail hour before dinner for our guests to enjoy the sunset
while the wedding party finishes up with pictures. Definitely take some time to take a virtual tour of the country club on their website. If you do get a chance to join us for a round of pre-wedding golf, we'd like to point out some of our favorite holes. We challenge you to play from the tips and tee off from the elevated greens on the 503 yard par 4 10th hole. Not to worry, the 18th hole runs along the right side, so there's plenty of room to find the fairway. The other hole to be sure to check out is the signature 15th hole, that is all carry to a well protected island green. |
